It’s true in the sense of your access to information from around the world and your ability to connect with key decision makers and business leaders from all over our planet. All businesses must ensure that they are well-prepared to meet the challenges of global trade. This includes knowing the nuances and complexities of international business, as well as being able to work with partners and colleagues from countries that are different from their own.

The undergraduate Journal of Global Business and Trade (JGBT) includes research papers as well as reports and commentaries that pertain to the world of global business. It is also the official journal of CUIBE which is the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education.

It’s important to know how cultural differences can affect the performance of your business abroad, whether you’re a business owner looking to enter international markets, or want to make sure your team is ready. This means learning the customs such as holidays, beliefs, holidays and social norms of diverse cultures you may encounter in your global business ventures. This is a great method to improve your “export intelligence.” It’s also important to know how to interact with business colleagues from other countries. For instance the different cultures have different views on personal space and greetings.
